Watch NBA Finals Game 6: Warriors win title
The Warriors, who lost to the Warriors, Cavs and 76ers in six games, have a chance to win their fourth title in five years when they face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
“I think it’s a good opportunity for the whole league,” Clippers owner Donald Sterling told ESPN.
“The league is looking for the best players.
The Clippers are the best team in the league.
So we have a lot of respect for that.”
The Clippers, who have won 10 straight in the series, have won seven straight overall in this series.
In the first meeting, the Warriors led the Clippers 93-85 on Friday before Blake Griffin and the Clippers took a 76-71 lead on Sunday.
Golden State shot 55.3 percent and averaged more than 29 points per game, and the Warriors outscored the Clippers 40-10 in the fourth quarter.
“We got a big, big game planned, but I think the NBA is really interested in what we’re doing,” Clippers forward Blake Griffin said.
“I think we’ve been preparing for this since before the season started.
We’ve been doing a lot.
It’s not something that we have to rush.
It is what it is.”
Golden State’s Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Paul George had 18 points and 10 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Clippers are trying to improve their record to 8-0 for the first time since they won the NBA championship in 2009.
In the NBA finals, the Clippers will face the defending champion Cavaliers in Cleveland.
The Warriors have lost three straight and four of five.
The Clippers will play their final game of the regular season before the NBA playoffs begin on April 4.
